I would like to remind all parents and guardians of some key aspects of the Club’s welfare policy, not least the requirement that all children up to and including 10 years of age should be accompanied at all times by a responsible adult on poolside and that parents/guardians are responsible for their children until they arrive on the poolside. As you know, the primary concern of the Club alongside learning and enjoying our sport is the protection and welfare of all members. Overleaf you will find the Code of Conduct for all parents/guardians, together with the Code of Conduct for swimmers from all disciplines. Please ensure you and your child(ren) are familiar with these. If you or your child has any concerns you should discuss these with your teacher or coach initially. Please remember to make every effort to speak to the coach after the session has ended to maintain confidentiality and to avoid disturbing any session. If you are interested, there are also corresponding Codes of Conduct for swimming teachers and coaches and for those Club officials and volunteers who work directly with children. Please be aware that whereas the Club takes responsibility for children during training in and around the pool it is not responsible for members before or after training sessions or in changing rooms and common areas.
